Poetry: In Love With The Universe

Here is a simple poem to thank the universe for giving everything. The universe witnesses the presence of God, and that makes us feel when we come alone with stars at midnight:

IN LOVE WITH THE UNIVERSE

The shades of stones
Below is an ant resting
Drinking the drops or,
Maybe, falling
In love with the universe

The leaf sheltering
A weak worm, Moving
Across the thick green veins
Viewing the morning rays speaks,
In love with the universe

A little pigeon firstly fly,
Above bushes, beneath a pine
Calls siblings on wet grass
She goes higher, laughing
In love with the universe

That's a goat jumping
Over the fence, happy
For the blue sky after rain
Shouts, maybe saying
In love with the universe

Watching them all alone.
Later, saw the stars in black
And, the wind making hair dance
I closed the eyes and loved what they taught
In love with the universe

The context and the explanation of the poem stanza to stanza are below:

CONTEXT: The poem makes the reader feel the power of thankfulness by providing the point of view of different creatures on the planet thanking the universe for everything even at last the poet.

STANZA ONE: In stanza one, the poet shows an imagery scene where there is a stone under it is an ant. She is resting and relaxing having a small shadow. The rock is actually wet due to the rain. The ant drinks the rainwater. Poet is not sure whether she is drinking drops or doing something else. Therefore, in the last line poet uses personification in which the ant is given the human ability to fall in love, however with the universe.

STANZA TWO: In the second stanza, the poet talks about another creature, a worm. The worm is on a leaf. According to the poet, the leaf is sheltering the worm or helping her stand because she is weak owing to harsh rain. The worm is moving with the help of the thick veins of the leaf. When the worm sees the morning sun and its rays, she expresses her feelings towards the universe by saying 'in love with the universe'.

STANZA THREE: In the third stanza, the poet shifts to the pigeon. The poet describes the story of a child pigeon who for the first time flew. She flies above the grass and bushes and under the pine tree. She calls her siblings to fly like her, but they were too small to do it. She goes higher and higher with her ability and laughs to which the poet believes she is thanking the universe, also loving it.

STANZA FOUR: In the fourth stanza, the poet stresses showing a goat that is jumping over the fence. The poet considers she is happy due to her behavior. The poet gives the reason that after the heavy rain when the clouds vanished. The goat couldn't control the excitement after seeing the clear blue sky and shouts. The poet then believes maybe the goat is saying kind words to the universe and thanking it for being a part of it.

STANZA FIVE: In the last stanza, the poet describes nature himself after watching all the creatures. The poet observed everything common between all the creatures and at last, viewed the stars in the black sky in the midst of the night. The smooth wind when made his hair dance he reminded the teaching of them which says to  love the nature and be thankful for what you have which the poet loved the most.
